ingredients
- 1⁄4 cup paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- 1⁄2 - 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
directions
- Combineall the ingredients in a jar.
- Twist lid on tightly and shake to mix.
- Can be stored for up to six months.

This recipe isn't that spicy but does have the right combination of flavors. I used this on a eight pound chicken. I put rub under the skin and on top. I also placed some in the cavity of the chicken. I then cooked it on the grill for an hour by using the Beer Can Method. I also put some of the spice in the beer can and still have enough left to use another time.
