Meatloaf Stew

"My family loved this. Meatloaf is cooked on top of veggies in a slow cooker. When I get home supper is ready! I have added turnips or rutabagas as well, it's a great way to sneak in vegetables! I got the recipe from a Company's Coming cookbook"

  • Put first 5 ingredients into 6 quart(6L) slow cooker.
  • Combine next 9 ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  • Then add the ground beef, mix well.
  • Place the meat mix on top of the vegetables making sure the meat doesn't touch the side of the pot. (If it does, the meat will stick and burn where it touches).
  • Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.

  1. This was so yummy. I don't think a loaf is suppose to be formed I think it was meant to fall apart. The only thing I added was a 1/4 cup of bbq sauce which made it tangy. I would make this over and over again
     
  2. This was tasty, but the meatloaf kinda fell apart. It was hard to form into a loaf and transfer to pot.
