ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cups flour
directions
- Mix all ingredients together in large bowl and stir until well blended.
- Place in 13x9 greased pan.
- Bake at 350* for 35 minutes.

Well I just had to try this one! Never made a cake with mayonnaise before.....this was superb!! Soooo easy, all in one bowl with very little to wash up.It was so quick to prepare, low in fat and on top of that it was delicious! This is one I'll definitely be making often. Thanks Inez, you've added a 'keeper' to my menus! -

This cake is GREAT!!!! It taste like a brownie. I followed the recipe which is just so easy. I did use Spenda and ff mayonnaise. Thanks so much for posting.Oh, I served it with strawberries and ice cream. -
Had to try this, a cake with mayonnaise! It was indeed very easy to make, it came out beautiful, but, the taste was not what expected. Too dense, therefore hard to swallow, tasting a bit stuffy, leaning to mouldy. These are the reactions and comments from the people I served the cake to. I am really sorry that it didn,t turn out better. -
This cake was great, was gone in flash. We used Splenda and light mayo. We also added mini m&m's to the batter and on top. Served with vanilla ice cream. Perfect "No Guilt" chocolate cake and sooo easy! Thanks MizzNezz we will be making this again and again!!

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
