-
5 sandwhiches
- Serves:
- 5
ingredients
- 5 chicken breasts, pounded thin, 1 per person
- 15 -20 slices bacon, pieces sliced in half, probably 3-4 slices per person
- 5 5 hamburger buns or 5 bread, of your choice
- lemon pepper seasoning
- Lawry's Seasoned Salt
- sliced cheese, your choice
directions
- Cook cut in half bacon strips as crispy (or not crispy) as you like them. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels. Pour off all grease, except for about a tablespoon.
- Sprinkle both sides of chicken breasts with lemon pepper and Lawry's - don't skimp.
- Add chicken breasts to pan and cook until just about done.
- While second side of breast is finishing cooking, lay desired amount of bacon strips across the breast, add sliced cheese over bacon. Cover with a lid and allow cheese to melt.
- Serve chicken on roll/bun, whatever bread you want. Toasted, untoasted, it will be yummy either way, trust me.

Tweaks

Made this for the first time yesterday and loved it. The only tweaks I made were using boneless, skinless, chicken thighs (I’m not a fan of white meat), and smoking them in my stovetop smoker for about 15 minutes then finishing them up in my air fryer for 9 minutes. Tossed the bacon and cheese on them and served them on a hamburger bun with Zax Chicken Fingers dipping sauce. Made for some tasty eating.

I am a mom to 2 boys, ages 11 and 6. My youngest is a cancer survivor, so we enjoy each day given to us! You never know what can happen in your life! I have been in the loan business for over 10 years and I love it. Unfortunately, this economy has put a wrench into my awesome career. After a couple layoffs, I decided I need to do something else for awhile. I am now selling advertising, and it's different! I am thankful to have a job, so can't complain much! I love to cook. I can spend a whole Sunday in the kitchen just cooking away. I love trying new recipes (my boyfriend hates it. Lol. He likes what he likes and would be fine never trying anything new.) I never bake. I think it's because I don't measure. I am a throw-in-the-ingredients until they taste good kind of girl. I LOVE this site(actually, I am addicted to it) and am enjoying finding new things to make everyday!
