Maple Mustard Spareribs

"I found this recipe at Tops Market. The recipe is courtesy of National Pork Board. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting this for safe keeping."

  • Mix maple syrup, mustard, brown sugar, hot sauce and soy sauce. In separate dish, save 1/2 cup mixture for basting ribs right before serving.
  • Brush ribs with mixture.
  • Place ribs in shallow pan; cover with foil.
  • Bake in 350 oven for 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until meat reaches 160.
  • Remove foil, brush ribs with reserved sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper, and serve.

    Made this last night in the oven and was impressed. Bet these are even better on the grill! Sauce gets a little watery but I drained the chops and added more for the final cook plus dredged in the remainder when they came out and had cooled some. Very flavorful and mapleicious!

The minute I get a cookbook home I sit down and I read my cookbooks from front to back like novels. I work for the Elmira City School&nbsp;District and YWCA. I'm raising my&nbsp;8 yrs old newphew. I'm a part time college student studing Early Childhood Education, but taking time off and hoping to return soon. I live in Elmira, New York where famous writer Mark Twain did some of his writing and he once lived. I have&nbsp;1 cats Samantha and&nbsp;1 dog our newest member MOO MOO (my nieces dog) who are my children as I do not have any human children of my own.
