Maple Butterscotch Brownies

"We love brownies and I think this would be a good one to try."

ingredients

• 1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
• 1⁄2 cup butter, melted
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons maple flavoring
• 2 eggs
• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 cup walnuts, chopped
• confectioners' sugar (optional)

directions

1. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, butter, and maple flavoring.
2. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
3. Combine flour and baking powder and add to egg mixture.
4. Stir in walnuts.
5. Pour into a greased 9- inch square baking pan.
6. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until brownies test done.
7. Cool.
8. Dust with confectioners sugat, if desired.
