  • Cut beef into thin strips.
  • Mix egg white, cornstarch, 1 teaspoon soy sauce and sugar in a bowl.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Spray wok with cooking spray and heat over medium high heat until cooking spray starts to bubble.
  • Add oil, rotate wok to coat with oil.
  • Add beef, stir-fry 3- 4 minutes or until brown.
  • Add carrots, capsicum, garlic and ginger, stir-fry for 1 minute.
  • Stir in chile puree, 1 teaspoon soy sauce and shallos, cook and stir 30 seconds.

  1. I believe you would use the egg white mixture as a marinade. This is a really good dish. Easy to prepare and very flavorful.
     
  2. This was very tasty. I too wasn't sure where to put the egg white mixture, so like the previous reviewer, I put it in at the end. If I make this again, however, I'll put it in after step 6. This had a very nice flavor to it.
     
  3. You were right - easy, tasty and quick! I served over rice and added onion. Also used peanut instead of veggie oil, and added extra soy and chili. I was a bit confused about when to add the egg white mixture, I ended up throwing it in at the end. Thanks for a good recipe Sueie!
