- Cook hot dogs in medium skillet on medium heat 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Stir in water, milk and Macaroni. Bring to boil; cover.
- Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 to 7 minutes or until Macaroni is tender.
- Add Cheese Sauce Mix and butter; cook and stir until heated through.

Not good. Way too much liquid. Sloppy watery mac n cheese sucks. This would be much better if the pasta was cooked seperately and the cheese was made with whole milk/cream. This is just macaroni and cheese soup. I used Annie’s Mac n Cheese, as Kraft is straight up garbage. -
This recipe is Fool proof! It is so quick, easy, and satisfying late in the evening when your hungry but you just really don't want to have to REALLY cook something for dinner... Sometimes I substitute 1/2 cup of heavy cream instead of the milk for a creamier mac! -
My DH loved this... he likes most "kid pleasers" though. ;) But I loved it too! This was great on a night when we were running out of groceries and wanted something quick but filling. Thanks for sharing! -
5 stars is a must with this one. I had a house full of children and made Hot Dog Mac and Cheese with stove top Baked Beans. I want you to know they ate each and every bit of everything in each pot. Thank You...Hugs -
Very easy, and quite tasty. I had no hot dogs handy, only Polish sausages, which I split lengthwise then cut on the diagonal (so they'd be similar in shape to the pasta). I also tossed in a small handful of parsley for color. Next time, I'd saute some diced red bell pepper with the sausage. The dish was a bit salty, but this was because of the powdered cheese and/or the sausage, not the recipe.

Cook the pasts seperately and make the cheese sauce in the skillet using whole milk or half n half. Adding water to the cheese sauce sucks and makes it all soupy. Use Annie’s Mac n Cheese. Kraft is corporate trash food all full of chemicals and preservatives. Don’t feed that stuff to your kids. Same goes for the hot dogs. Spend the extra buck and get uncured dogs without nitrates and nitrites.

I am married and mother of 3 wonderful children. I have a 21 year old daughter and 19 year old twins, a boy and a girl. The picture above is of my granddaughter Destiny born April 5, 2007. She was a preemie and weighed 1 lb. 14 oz. at birth. She spent 73 days in NICU in the hospital She has came a long way and was 11 months and a little over 19 pounds when the picture was taken. She shows no problems at all now and is truly a miracle and I thank God for her. She is already Nana's little girl. I have a wonderful husband who is very honest with me about any dish I prepare. He is my best critic as I am sure most husbands tend to be. I love trying new recipes and love to cook. I love Taste of Home cookbooks. I like to do counted cross-stitch and recently I have rediscovered a lost love of mine; reading, especially mysteries. I can get lost in a good book for hours. Weather permitting my hubby and I like to ride on his Harley. Nothing like it! If I had a month off with no responsibilities I would travel. Love the beach!!! My dream is to retire and for my hubby and I to travel to all the places I would like to see.
