Low Calorie Chocolate Chip Muffins

ingredients
- 1⁄3 cup whole wheat flour
- 2⁄3 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 egg white
- 1 cup plain fat-free yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1⁄2 cup skim milk
- 1⁄3 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3⁄4 cup chocolate chips
directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees and spray 12 liner cups with cooking spray; set aside. In a large bowl, combine flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl whisk eggs, yogurt, oil, milk, sugar, and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and stir until everything is moistened (Do not over mix.) Fold in chocolate chips. Spoon teh abtter into the muffin cups, 2/3 full. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 10-15 minutes before removing from muffin tins.

These muffins are very tasty! I really enjoyed eating them ;)<br/>I made a couple of changes due to personal preference: I reversed the amounts of ww and normal flour, reduced the salt to 1/8 ts and the choc chips to 1/4 c, changed the oil for applesauce and left out the sugar (therefore I didnt need as much yoghurt, only 1/3 cup). Still these came out amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your recipe here with us, born with a whisk!<br/>Made and reviewed for one of my babies during PAC Spring 2012.
