I have lived in Michigan all of my life. I'm retired and enjoying it immensely. I enjoy gardening, sewing and cooking although I'm not very good at any of them. My favorite cookbooks are Pillsbury Complete Cookbook and Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook. I love to collect old cookbooks, too.
Politics is my passion.
Pet peeves--I can't think of any right now, but I've certainly had them!
I have 3 grandchildren; all of them close by, fortunately! As of this year they are 16, 12, and 5 yrs. old. That's CORKY, my Shih Tzu. He's called Corky because he has a corkscrew tail! The picture on my icon is my mixed Maine Coon cat, Missy, who came from my Vet (because the owner was going to have her put to sleep). I guess that's one of my BIG pet peeves (no pun intented): that owners of animals put them down for no good reason. I wish people would think long and hard before they get an animal!!!
