Have made this a few times, first time as written, it was okay, maybe I didn't drain enough grease off after browning the ground beef. Made it again with sliced beef, white onion and followed the rest of the recipe, most enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this, especially as it was so fast to make. I did use a ginger-garlic paste, as it's what I have. I topped it with chopped radish, cucumber and green onion, as well as a fried egg, which is a common addition to beef bowls. I might reduce the sugar just a touch next time, but overall, this was good.

Yum! This exceeded my expectations! It's quick, easy to make and full of flavor. Definitely a great change from the normal ground beef recipes. Fresh ginger and garlic are everything. This recipe is a keeper!

This was surprisingly good for a first try! I used fattier ground beef because on hand, and about 2 tsp fresh minced ginger because also on hand, but it turned out delicious. I would have liked a bit more "sauce," but not at the sacrifice of this awesome flavor. It was a delightful change from my normal use of ground beef, and will be a definite repeat! It seemed to be beneficial to keep the beef in larger chunks than fine crumbs. Served with white rice and broccoli.

This is my go-to recipe! We raise black angus, so we have a lot of hamburger, which can get a bit boring. This recipe really makes hamburger fun again!

Upped the brown sugar and soy sauce to 1/3 cup ea. Added a bag of Sweet Kale salad mix after the ground beef had browned and wilted it into the ground beef, added brown sugar and soy sauce mixture and cooked an additional 15 minutes... delicious!

I live in the Kansas City area and have many hobbies including cooking, reading and spending time with my husband and two children who are very active in sports now. I also have an eBay business which is a fun hobby that makes a little extra money! My interest in cooking focuses on making healthy dishes that are more satisfying than the higher fat and higher sugar versions. If I had a month off with no responsibilities, I would spend it at a luxury spa.
