  • Heat oil and butter in dutch overn; saute peppers and onions.
  • Remove peppers and onion; place sausage and potatoes in pan. Cover and cook, about 25 minutes; add broth, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are about 10 minutes from being tender.
  • Return peppers and onions to pan, add garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste, continue cooking until potatoes are just tender. Stir in 1/2 cup parmesan cheese.
  • Serve hot.
