  • Cut the baguette in half, longwise.
  • Rinse the spinach, squeeze it flat between both hands, and dry it gently between two paper towels so that it retains its shape.
  • Spread the cream cheese on the bottom half.
  • Put half the spinach on top and cover it with half the balsamic vinegar.
  • Put the other spinach over that and cover it with the rest of the vinegar.
  • Sprinkle the basil over the top.
