Jalapeno Tequila Gimlet

- 2 jalapenos
- 2 cups white tequila
- 1 cup fresh lime juice (about 16 limes)
- 1⁄2 cup agave nectar
directions
- Roast jalapenos over gas flame or under broiler until soft and charred. Stem and chop chiles.
- Place chiles and seeds into a jar. Add tequila and let sit 1 hour. Strain through fine mesh sieve and discard solids.
- Stir in lime juice, agave nectar and 2 cups ice.
- Let stand, stirring occasionally, until ice is melted.
- Divide among 8 chilled gimlet glasses.
