Iraqi Fried Kabobs

"i realize that most people associate "kabobs" with a shish kabob.. something grilled and on a stick, but for us its actually more of an arab burger, typically not cooked on a skewer. frying isnt healthy but it sure tastes great!! served with toasted pita, and your choice of fresh veggies"

  1. Yummy. Not sure why it tasted really like meat (blood). I used halal regular ground beef, maybe it was slightly old. Of course there are no spices in this but I think that is authentic to Iraqi food. The taste was good just either something was missing to me or something wrong or it was old. I used a combination of mainly canola oil & some extra virgin olive oil to be soy free for frying. I liked the change in trying this recipe. Made for WELCOME TO IRAQ! July 2012
