  1. I made these for a party and loved how easily they went together, though rolling them into the balls was a little challenging. :-) I chilled the mixture before forming them and that did seem to help. I made them on the small side and put a pretzel stick in each one for ease of serving - it was so cute on the tray. Thanks for the recipe!

  2. use latex nursing gloves (when removing from each hand start from the top edge and turn them inside out as you remove) Your hands will be spotless. Most dollar stores sell them and they are not toxic to food. Use a round not egg shaped ice cream scoop to form the balls. You may have to grab a little more from the bowl but this is a life saver. I rarely see these in modern cookbooks because they are a pain (remember the "housewife" that had plenty of time.) Use these shortcuts and it cuts the time/not quality in half. I finely mince the onions or use dehydrated minced onions from the spice section. Just put them in a cereal bowl and add equal amount water and stir/let sit for 5 minutes, then u can add. Double the Recipie wrap extras in plastic wrap they last almost a month in the fridge. Trust me its worth it.

  3. These were tasty, but I personally had a hard time making them. I couldnt get the balls to roll right until it had been refrigerated for about 3 hours after I mixed everything together, but it was still yummy!!!
