  1. Surprisingly delicious, and adaptable. I was sadly out of currants, so I subbed dried cranberries; and 2 canned peach halves instead of dried (added near the end of cooking). Also red onion and granny smith apple. For spices, 1/4 tsp. of poudre douce, which worked great. I reduced the recipe but it made lots! As a breakfast, it was very warming and full of energy for the whole morning! I'll be making this again, thanks!!
