Hot Scotch Relish

"I got this recipe from someone I worked with about 30 years ago. I'm not sure why the name, unless it originally used scotch bonnet peppers or something."

• Ingredients: 8
• Yields: 6 cups

ingredients

• 3 quarts ripe tomatoes, chopped
• 4 onions
• 1 large sweet pepper
• 3 -4 jalapeno peppers
• 1 -2 teaspoon red pepper
• 1 cup sugar
• 3⁄4 cup vinegar
• 1 1⁄2 tablespoons salt

directions

1. Chop everything and put in a pot. Cook until thick or reduced by half.
