  • Mix all together except for cheese and french-fried onions.
  • Place in grased 9x13 pan.
  • Sprinkle with french-fried onions and cheese.
  • Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

  1. Made this for the family. It tasted too much like mayonnaise too suit us. I thought it had too much "saucy stuff" (i.e. soup and mayo)when I was putting it together. If I make this again, I will cut the mayonnaise in half. I also think I would cook it a little longer, and put the cheese and onions on about 20 minutes before it was done, so they wouldn't burn,and saute the celery a little first. I thought that much celery, plus the water chestnuts was just TOO much crunch. Still, it was a different taste for us.
