Homemade Egg Noodles

"This recipe comes from www.allrecipes.com. It is the first time that I have ever made homemade egg noodles, and they turned out perfect, and it was so easy to do! I will make these ALL the time in the future! Try them!"

ingredients

• 2 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 pinch salt
• 2 eggs, Beaten
• 1⁄2 cup milk
• 1 tablespoon butter

directions

1. In a large bowl, stir together the flour and salt. Add the beaten egg, milk, and butter. Knead dough until smooth, about 5 minutes. Let rest in a covered bowl for 10 minutes.
2. On a flour surface, roll out to 1/8 or 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into desired lengths and shapes.
3. Allow to air dry before cooking.
4. To cook fresh pasta, In a large pot with boiling salted water cook until al dente. About 3-5 minutes.

I needed some egg noodles to have with recipe#162729 today and found this recipe. What a pick! I couldn't ask for a easier recipe for egg noodles. They turned out great. I rolled the dough out and cut into strips and let them air dry for 1 1/2 hour on wax paper than boiled them in chicken broth with 1 Tbs. butter for 12 minutes. Thanks for sharing the recipe! They worked wonderfully :)
