"Holiday Squares"

ingredients

• 1 cup margarine
• 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
• 4 large eggs
• 2 cups flour
• 1⁄2 cup powdered sugar
• 1 tablespoon almond flavoring
• 1 (21 ounce) can pie filling

directions

1. Cream margarine with sugar until very creamy.
2. Beat in 1 egg at a time until fluffy.
3. Slowly beat in flour.
4. Add almond flavouring.
5. Spread batter into a jelly roll pan.
6. Mark off 16 squares with a knife.
7. Drop 1 Tbsp of pie filling into each square.
8. Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes until cake is golden brown.
9. Sprinkle entire cake heavily with powdered sugar.
