Hoisin - Jalapeno Sauce

I found this on the net while looking for a similar recipe to broil salmon for another Zaar member. Although it was originally listed for wings - I think it could be used for other meats as well.

ingredients
- 3 jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 1 quart hoisin sauce
- 2 cups water
- 2 small limes, Juice of
- 2 tablespoons garlic, Minced
directions
- In a food processor, puree the jalapenos with the sugar.
- Add the hoisin sauce, water, and lime juice.
- Add the minced garlic.
- Puree until fully incorporated.
- Pour into a 2 quart container.
- Allow the sauce to sit for 1 hour to allow the sugar to dissolve, stirring occasionally.
- If using for wings, place frissee or other lettuce/garnish on a plate.
- Arrange the cooked wings on top of the lettuce.
- Drizzle the sauce over the wings and lettuce.
- Garnish with parsley and chopped peanuts.
- For salmon or other meats, drizzle sauce and bake/broil as usual for meat chosen.
- When cooked, baste or drizzle again with small amount of sauce, leaving a small amount for dipping.
- Enjoy.
