  1. I found this on the Pernod website along with a few more great recipes- 1 part Pernod to 5 parts champagne - sounds great! I look forward to trying it!!

  2. Gay, This sounds terrific!!! Especially to be bringing in the New Year!! LOL I am going to SC for New Year's Eve to visit 2 of my 3 sons and I am going to definetly make this!!!! I rarely get to see them so we will definetly be partying. Thank you so much!! love, Becky

  3. Loved it!!! I usually drink absinthe with a sugar cube and ice water - It was great with champagne!! My two loves combined... It is perkier, if that is a word and the champagne smooths the absinthe. I am in heaven! And way easier to put together then dragging out the fountain and spoons!! I will use this recipe a lot! Thanks for sharing Hemingway's recipe! A toast to you on your day!

  4. The last time I had absinthe I ended up swimming naked at an internet get-together, along with 25 other people. Singing untill losing my voice at 6 AM, and drinking Absolut Vodka from the bottle as if it were Water! I must try this drink sometime :) *LOL*

I'm really just learning how to cook, but I hope that my skills at eating will really guide me in this endeavor. ;-) I think that sharing recipes on the internet is better than any cookbook. Of course, I founded Recipezaar, so I might be a little biased.
