Hellmann's Classic Macaroni Salad With Real Mayonnaise

"I must say I varied this...Added some mustard, a bunch of salame and chunks of cheese, and threw in some peas and corn. Jalapenos would be delicious too. Recipe courtesy of Hellmann's."

ingredients

• 8 ounces elbow macaroni
• 1 cup mayonnaise
• 2 tablespoons vinegar
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1 cup thinly sliced celery
• 1 cup chopped green bell peppers or 1 cup red bell pepper
• 1⁄4 cup chopped onion

directions

1. Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and rise with cold water until completely cool.
2. Combine mayonnaise and vinegar, dijon mustard, sugar, salt, and pepper in large bowl.
3. Stir in macaroni, celery, green pepper, and onion. Serve chilled at room temperature.
