Reviews

  1. This recipe is great! my whole family loves it, I make it at least once a month.

  2. Great dinner. Made this last night for dinner and the entire family enjoyed it. Will probably add some seasonings to the meat (itlaian, oregano, etc.) or use spaghetti sauce next time for more flavor. Otherwise a great meal, just pair with a green salad and some bread. Thanks for the recipe Ms.Gambell!

  3. I tried this recipe the other night. It was delicious! My three boys who are the pickiest eaters fought over the leftovers. It was a great meal to make on a weeknight.

Tweaks

  1. I absolutely love this casserole! In addition to all the other ingredients I always add a 5 ounce can of sliced water chestnuts…and be sure to drain the water out before adding. The water chestnuts do not have a noticeable flavor and they have very few calories …. but they add a “crunch” to each bite that adds interest and refreshment. Please try it…I’m sure you will like it! Add these in after draining the ground beef when adding the tomato sauce, etc. This is really a good addition even though this casserole can easily stand on its own….please try it…I think you’ll agree!
