Hamburger Salad Sandwiches

"Have not tried this, but it sounds like it would be super easy for a quick meal. All the fixins for a burger combined with garlic and onion sauteed ground beef. Serve on a toasted bun and top with a fresh lettuce leaf."

  1. These are good! Made this for OAMC. Wrapped individually, and placed in freezer bag. My only change was using Miracle Whip, as mayo does not freeze well. We'll be adding the tomato and lettuce after heating in the microwave. Thanks for posting!

  2. I really enjoyed this. I have never had anything like it and found it to be a great alternative to burgers. I think these would have a wide appeal to people of different tastes. My 7 yr. old DS and my mom both loved them. Thanks for posting Marie.

  3. Brings back a lot of memories! This was a staple at any family picnic or reunion we used to have. It's a great cool meal on a hot day! Especially for picnics! We sometimes add some diced boiled eggs into it! Yumm! Thanks for posting this!

  4. Delicious! I used lean ground turkey & subbed low carb ketchup for the tomatoes. I used fat free mayo & added 1/4 tsp (I only made 1 serving with 2 oz of meat!) worchestershire sauce. I layered a whole wheat tortilla with lettuce, topped it with the meat mix, and added a little low fat mozzarella cheese. I didn't use any salt or pepper. Delicious! Tasted like a hamburger wrap! Thank u very much for sharing.

  5. Interesting and different sandwich filling. Good use of ground beef in a sandwich when you don't want a burger or sloppy joes. I used sweet instead of dill pickles because that is what I had. Best eaten the same day as made.
