Hamburger Boats

Hamburger Boats created by Leslie

My mother used to make these for us when we were little. I still loooooove them and I thought I'd share. Fairly simple kid-pleaser for sure! Sort of like a mini-meatloaf surrounded by biscuit. I listed refrigerator biscuits to provide a shortcut, but you can also make your own (which is what I do) instead. Sooo good!

These didn't do it for us. Too dry with the biscuit dough. However, I thought the meat mixture tasted great by itself and I think it would make a great meatball mix for pasta meatballs. I'm keeping it to use the recipe that way. Thanks!

these are so good. my kids are picky eaters, I had them in the kitchen helping me. I will be making these again.

we liked them and my 1.5 year old liked them. The flavor was a little strong and they were a little dry. I know two reasons why mine went wrong we were out of onion so I used the onion soup mix like suggested by a reviewer but that dried them out and was to strong. 2nd mistake was only bread crumbs on hand was Italian flavored ones which combined caused the flavor to be strange. I will try again w/ plain crumbs and fresh onion. Glad to have a kid friendly recipe!

These are very good. The meat mixture is nicely spiced. The kids loved having their "burgers" already in buns!
