"Another recipe given to me by my boyfriend's mother. I liked these cookies because they aren't too sweet-very yummy! Prep time includes chilling time for the dough."

Questions & Replies

  1. You say confectioners sugar (aka powdered). That's the only sugar listed. However, in the directions you say to mix butter and sugar. Um??? You surely do not mean mix the butter and powdered sugar, do you? The powdered sugar is for topping/rolling the finished cookies, right??? I want to do THIS recipe, but am literally ready to prepare them and now can't. Totally bummed that I'll find another.

  1. Love this recipe. So simple and delicious. I made 8 cookies with this recipe, but they were HUGE!

  2. What a great recipe! These cookies have so much going for them: The dough is easy to prepare with simple ingredients, the dough can be refrigerated or frozen until needed, and the cookies themselves are just heavenly! They aren't too sweet, just tender and buttery...melt-in-your-mouth good. The recipe made only 22 cookies for me, so I must have made them too big :).

  3. these cookies are wonderful... I always look for walnut recipes, and this is so good! I've made them 4 or 5 times now, and this last time, we didn't just roll in powdred sugar, we drizzled them with glaxe.
