Ground Pork Tacos

Ground Pork Tacos created by anniesnomsblog

I was searching for a way to use up some ground pork, and found this on a pork association website. I've altered the original recipe slightly, to suit our tastes. This is just as quick and easy to make as the standard hamburger and store-bought seasoning packet version, with a different flavor that's sure to please!

I had a few pounds of original breakfast pork sausage that needed using, so that is what I used. Perfect. We all really liked this recipe. I served some meat on tortillas and some meat on tostadas. Tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, etc. toppings. I'll make this recipe over and over. I did drain the sausage after browning.

THIS WAS AMAZING! I cannot believe how good the pork was--we like it better than beef tacos now! Definitely going down in my recipe book. If you like to cook with alcohol (and sometimes add it to the food ;) ) throw in a splash of Corona or Tecate for just a little extra. :)

I usually make my own taco seasoning, but I had never made tacos with ground pork, so I searched for a recipe. This ground pork taco meat is even better than my usual ground beef, and definitely much easier. The diced tomatoes I had in my pantry were fire roasted and I think that really added to the flavor. I also added cumin just because I love it with Mexican style food. I will be making all my tacos with this easy recipe from now on.

We loved this! I've never done pork for tacos before, normally beef for us, but it was a really nice change! The flavours were good and it was easy to prepare. We used crunchy taco shells and it was the perfect dinner!
