Grilled Cauliflower

"I actually won a cash prize in our local paper for this recipe. My husband and I will eat the whole thing ourselves - make several if you're having guests. If someone you love doesn't care for cauliflower, this may be the ticket!"

Questions & Replies

  1. I don't have a grill for outside. Can this be cooked on a grill pan inside? Also, I'm always confused about grated parmesan cheese if this means actual block of cheese or the shakable cheese in the jar.

  1. FABULOUS!!! I went easy on the butter, and added a little garlic powder and ground black pepper. So simple, yet so good!!! Can't wait to make this for summer BBQ's!! Thanks! ~Manda

  2. So simple and easy to do. I sprayed with butter flavoured spray with a small amount of butter. Also added some celery salt, garlic powder and paprika. It was excellent. Thank you Kelly

  3. VERY good! We had this last night with steaks and it was a great accompaniment. Thanks!

Tweaks

  1. Broiled in toaster oven 45 min. Added parmasion and broiled an an additional 15. It also works well with any favorite shreadded cheese added toward the end of grilling till melted.

  2. Simple and delicious! I made your original recipe and it was fantastic. I made it a second time and changed it. I used some bacon fat (not something I often do) instead of butter and I used Simply Organic Citrus A Peel seasoning (I love this stuff on grilled veggies or grilled chicken). Again fantastic. Glad you won for this.

  3. We loved this. We probably overcooked it - it was very soft, and most of the butter and cheese stuck to the foil - but it was delicious. Next time, I may replace the butter with olive oil, and stick some whole cloves of garlic in between the cauliflower florets. Thanks for posting!

  4. This was great! I did substitute olive oil for the butter but that was just a matter of preference. I will definitely be making this again.

  5. This recipe is so easy and so delicious! Instead of seasoning salt, I just used regular salt and black pepper but then I sprinkled on some dry cilantro leaves and garlic powder along with the Parmesan. So good and so much more flavorful than steaming or boiling. We love to cook outdoors and thought we had tried almost every veggie cooked on the grill this way. We just found out what we have been missing!

Can't believe I've been a member here for 18 years! It's changed a lot since the old RecipeZaar days and maybe or maybe not for the better. It used to be a community and now it's just a tool. Sad, but life goes on. I have been in Kentucky for 12 years now and enjoy the country lifestyle, along with master gardening. Recipes I've found here since Day One are still in my rotation. Don't entertain that much anymore, so finding new and exciting foods is no longer center stage. Just glad to have so many good recipes to fall back on because eating out is expensive and sometimes too far to drive.
