Grammie Bea's Souper Tuna Noodle Bake

    cup onion, chopped

    tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1
    (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup or (10 1/2 ounce) can mushroom soup

    cup milk
  • 2
    cups medium noodles or 2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 2
    cups frozen peas and carrots
  • 1
    (7 ounce) can tuna, drained, and flaked
  • 3 -4
    slices American cheese, as many as you like

DIRECTIONS

  • Cook noodles according to pkg. directions. Drain well. Set aside.
  • In a saucepan, cook onion in butter, until tender.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Pour into a 2 quart shallow baking dish.
  • Bake at 400, for 20 mins., or until hot.
  • Top with sliced cheese, if desired.
  • Bake until cheese melts.
