"Since my hubby is from the horseradish capital of the world, I had to post this recipe! Found in the 1988 version of Favorite Foods from Century 21 (a cookbook I got from Grandma)."

  1. We liked these horseradish hamburgers. They were easy to make and they had a nice flavor. I easily halved the recipe to suit 1 lb of meat. After putting the patties together, I left them on the counter and DH assumed they were to be grilled with your Recipe #420756 420756, which we served as a side. While they tasted good, the consistency of the burgers makes them not really great for grilling (our mistake), so definitely pan fry as suggested if you don't want them to fall apart. Conveniently, I happened to be out of hamburger buns, and was serving in pitas anyway, so it didn't matter if they were a little loose. Thanks! Made for ZWT6

  2. I adapted this recipe to Kosher Beef...leaving out the Milk and using Parve (Non-Dairy) seasoned bread crumbs. Loved the taste, hated the texture.

  3. These seemed like a pretty average burger to me. Nice flavor, but nothing unusual about them. I left out the milk and did not have a problem with the burgers holding together. ZWT6.

  4. These had a nice flavor without the horseradish being too overwhelming. We reduced the amount of liquid in hopes that we could successfully grill the burgers. We did manage to grill these, but they came close to falling apart.

  5. These burgers have a great taste but we found them too moist. If I do them again, I may use half the milk needed. I didn't use salt. But besides that I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks January Bride :) Made for the Zwizzle Chicks of ZWT
