Gorgonzola Salad Dressing / Dip

"Delicious on a crisp green salad... or use with fresh veggie dippers for an appetizer tray. It's good with Buffalo Style chicken wings, too! Cook time is chilling time in refrigerator."

This is worth the five stars and more. Made this for a friend of mine who loves this Italian restaurant in town simply for their gorgonzola dressing. Now he knows he can always get it at my house and it's even better than the restaurants!!!!! Wonderful flavor and um um good. Thanks for posting.

Yummy! I make a blue cheese dip with similar ingredients, so I knew I would like this. Thanks for the recipe.

A must try for Gorgonzola lovers.. Delicious!!. I used 1 cup cheese, 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup sour cream, and left out the dried onion. Produces the perfect consistency for vegetable dip. To use as a salad dressing, I add a little milk or cream to thin it out a bit. As mentioned in a previous review, the dressing is best if made a day ahead of time, allowing the flavors to blend.

Raves all around! I made the ratio of sour cream to mayonnaise a little more even (but still more mayo), added black pepper and garlic salt, stirred it by hand (we like our cheezy dressings chunky/creamy), refrigerated it for a half hour, and it couldn't have been better. My husband now thinks he likes gorgonzola dressing even better than blue!

If you are a Gorgonzola fan, then this is a salad dressing for you! We let it blend for about 24 hours producing a wonderful flavor. I also agree that this would make a GREAT dip for fresh vegetables. Thanks for sharing, luvmybge.

Hmm... let's see.. Cooking is my passion... I'm retired now and able to cook and bake every day. I think the most helpful cookbook that I own would have to be The New Doubleday Cookbook. I just love kitchen gadgets and have many of them. Besides cooking I love to sing and belong to the Sweet Adeline's International. I get very annoyed at people who are LATE! I think it's just as easy to be late as it is to be on time. Well.. thanks to all of you at Zaar for all of your terrific recipes and ideas that bring my friends and family much joy and happiness. They get to try all of my new recipes.
