  1. Dear Cookin_Nurse - Do you mix the brownie mix up according to the package directions, or do you sprinkle it dry over the butter in the pan?

  1. This is our favorite dessert! When we take it to church or family get togethers it always disappears. Not always gorgeous to look at, but definitely a winner!

  2. I tried this recipe and everything worked out great. From the edge to the center all was good. Two things I did differently, I melted the butter in the pan, by way of the oven, and when the bars came out I ran a spatula around the edge, going from top to bottom all the way around. These brownies came out perfectly and were a hit with the kids.

  3. Were the best brownies I have had EVER!!!!

  4. Had a little trouble..the edges were wonderful, the center of the pan was a mess. I would recommend mixing the brown mix first then adding the remaining ingrediants. VERY VERY TASTEY!!!

  5. Decadent ! I too found it on the back of the box---it sounded so I good I had to try it. And it was very, very good but very very rich ! It was easy to make & everyone loved it.

There are a lot of things I love about life, my family, my faith in God, my church family, my friends. I also enjoy so many hobbies. Working as a nurse means I work 3, 12 hour shifts a week and have 4 days off! Which gives me a lot of time to do the things I love like cooking, scrapbooking, photography and just recently herb/flower gardening! My family includes my adorable and amazing husband and my 13 year old step-son (who proves to be a challange to this new mom but we love him soo!!!) The newest love of my life is the beautiful little husky sitting on my lap in this picture. She is 5 months old and an absolute joy to our life! I also just started a new cooking blog called 'Make it homemade.' I believe we can all save a lot of money, if we use our skills to make frequently store-bought items at home in our own kitchens! Besides, homemade just taste better!
