- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄8 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg
- 1⁄8 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1⁄8 cup macadamia nuts
directions
- Preheat the oven to 350. Cream the butter ans sugarsuntil fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, and salt, mix well. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop cookies onto an ungreased cookie sheet by teaspoonfulls. Bake 10-12 minutes.

This recipe is ALL WRONG!!! I couldn't find Ghirardelli brand chips on Christmas Eve so I went with this recipe...HORRIBLE. My cookies turned out all wrong. Here's the correct Ghirardelli recipe (got a new bag):<br/><br/>1 cup butter, softened<br/>1 1/2 cups granulated sugar<br/>1 cup brown sugar, packed<br/>2 eggs, room temperature<br/>1 1/2 t. vanilla extract<br/>3 cups unsifted flour<br/>1/2 t. baking soda<br/>1 t. salt<br/>2 cups Ghirardelli Classic White Chips<br/>1 1/2 cups Macadamia Nuts, chopped<br/><br/>Preheat oven to 350, Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Blend in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in white chips and huts. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
