ingredients
- 2 cups peeled & diced apples
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1⁄2 cup raisins

Topping
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄2 cup white sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄2 cup chopped raisins
- 1⁄2 cup raisins
directions
- Mix apples & sugar and leave to stand till sugar dissolves. Add eggs,mix well.Add dry ingredients followed by nuts and raisins & nuts. Pour into 8" x 8" tin and bake in 375 degrees oven 40-45 minutes.
- Take cake out of tin and stand on cooling tray.
- Topping:.
- mix sugars/flour/water and cook on top of stove till slightly thick & clear.Add remaining ingredients and pour over hot cake.
