Gator Bait

"This is from the cookbook Gator Championship recipes. This is a cookbook of recipes by Florida Gator fans and master tailgaters. My Aunt Yvonne gave me the book as a wedding present and introduced me to this yummy snack. The book attributes the recipe to "...Vida Alexander, a Goal-liner from 1979 until her death in 1995.""

  1. When I saw this recipe, I knew I had to make it. I have been a life long FL Gator fan & I am a proud member of the Gatornation! I have made a similar dish with Mozzarella Cheese. These were so yummy & were gobbled right up. Thanks for posting, this is a great dish to take to a cookout or party. Made for My 3 Chefs 2009.

I've been hanging around Zaar for a while, now and have found some really awesome recipes, but more importantly, some really awesome people. I'd like to thank all of you who have taken the time to try my recipes. Your reviews are a bright spot in my day. I believe that life is a collection of lessons that we must do our best to learn. One that I'm working on now is not judging those who judge others. I've come across this quote and thought I'd put it here: "The world is long on judgment and short on understanding. Judging is easy and self-satisfying. Understanding requires perspective, experience, and empathy."-Unknown
