Hello, My husband and I tried your recipe for the green beans and we loved them, the recipe was so easy to use that for now on we will be cooking them all the time. Thank you for that great recipe.

We loved these garlic green beans! What a lovely side dish! I agree with the other reviewers in saying I'd like to try it next with less butter. I'm sure it'll still be scrumptious! Thanks very much for the great recipe-my very first attempt at making fresh green beans at home, and a very successful one, at that!

I really thought this recipe seemed plain, but it is surprisingly delicious and yet so simple and easy for an amateur cook like me. This is the only way I will make green beens from now on. Only difference I made was I threw a chicken bouillon cube in with the water. UPDATE: I tried it again and this time without the bouillon cube, JUST WASN'T THE SAME!

The technique is great-- cook the green beans, drain, toss with garlic butter, salt and pepper. However, 3 Tbsp of butter is too much for one pound of green beans, boiling the beans for 10 minutes had them too overcooked for my taste, and it was a little too salty (and I used unsalted butter). Next time, I'll steam the beans, cut the butter down by at LEAST half, and cut the salt as well. I'm sure that there are people for whom this recipe is perfect as written, so use your own judgment.
