  1. The recipe can be adjusted to meet the needs of a Solo Cook or the desires of two lovers. While the Farfalle Bow Tie Pasta was cooking ( about 12 minutes ) I placed the chopped garlic glove and fresh basil in a pasta bowl and covered with the olive oil. Just before adding the drained pasta, I added the yogurt and stired to make a sauce. After the pasta was tossed in the sauce, I added the salt, and the two peppers, tossed again and topped with the cheese. I will definitely make this again.
  2. WOW! This was simply out of this world, and I couldn't believe how easy it was! I scaled down to 1 serving and omitted the olive oil because I didn't really think it was necessary. I'm glad I did, because this was "creamy" without being heavy. I used garlic powder because that's all I had, but I bet this tastes even more fantastic with fresh garlic! Thanks for a wonderful dish, Inez... I'm going to make this a LOT!
  3. I stopped at Safeway on the way home and picked up a precooked chicken. I diced it up and added the garlic (I used 6 cloves!) and browned. I then added the yogurt, stirred and added to the pasta. The chicken makes it very filling. I added a pre-packaged salad and bam! dinner in 20 minutes. The kids went crazy over it!
  4. Fantastic!! A no fuss dish. I followed the recipe exactly and it backed full of robust flavor. Next time I will try lemon yogurt as one review stated. This will be a keeper. It went well with Inez's Salsa Chicken #31636.
  5. I was really skeptical about using the yogurt, but it was really great! My daughter said "this smells like real authentic Italian food" and my husband kept raving about how he loved the "taste of lemon" in it. They were shocked to find out it was yogurt. I browned the garlic in the olive oil before tossing with the pasta, and I think I could have gotten by with 1 Tb. of oil instead of 2. Delicious and fast! Great idea to add the chicken - I'll try that next time.

  1. This was very good. Everyone liked it. I didn't use the oil since I'm on weight watchers core and would have to count points for it. I used fat free yogurt and I also used whole wheat egg noodles for the bow ties. I think this would be very good with chicken in it and when I mentioned it to the family they all agreed that next time I try it that way. I think I will also try it with fresh dill rather than basil just to shake it up a bit. This recipe really is open to so many variations. Thank for posting this great, easy recipe. UPDATE: I added chicken that I seasoned lightly, broiled and then pulled into strips and I replaced the basil with dill. It was very good with the changes, next time I'll try oregano. Thanks again.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
