- 8 ounces margarine
- 8 ounces caster sugar
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon almond essence
- 10 ounces self raising flour
- 4 ounces dried fruit
- 2 ounces sliced almonds
- 1 ounce cherries
directions
- Cream margarine and sugar then gradually add in the eggs.
- Fold in remaining ingredients, pour into loaf tin and bake at 350F for 1 hour.
