Fresh Strawberries With Brown Sugar Creme Fraiche Easy!!!

"Strawberry season is upon us on California, and we are lucky enough to live in an area where Usegi farms does all of their growing and selling directly from the field. This is one of my most easy and favorite ways to serve these beauties! COOKS NOTES: I also sub sour cream for the creme fraiche. Please note: this is an adopted recipe and I hope to make it soonest. • Serves: 4

ingredients

• 2 cups fresh strawberries
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 4 ounces creme fraiche
• 2 tablespoons mint, sliced thin

directions

1. Stem and slice strawberries.
2. Stir brown sugar into creme fraiche.
3. Serve strawberries in bowls and pass the creme fraiche to drizzle over the top and sprinkle with mint for garnish.

My favorite way: leave the strawberries whole but destemmed. Each guest gets two small bowls, one with creme fraiche, one with brown sugar. Dip first in creme, then brown sugar.

Tried this. Easy and good! Great compliment to fresh strawberries. Couldnot find Creme Fraiche in my area so I made some from another recipe using heavy whipping cream and butter milk. Also used sour cream. Yummy

This was wonderful. I found the creme fraiche at Trader Joe's. The sauce was a little treasure of yumminess, thank you:)

Very Refreshing I altered the serving directions a little. Instead of serving it on a plate a sliced the strawberries and put them in red wine glasses then refrigerated them in advance. I also prepared the creme fraiche mixture in advance. Then I just let the people serve themselves by dolloping the creme fraiche mixture and sprinkling the mint. My company love it, the perfect dessert on a hot day. Pakalika
