  • In a large skillet, cook the first five ingredients over medium heat until meat is browned and vegetables are tender; drain.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in potatoes, broth and seasonings.
  • Line two 9-inch pie plates with pastry.
  • Divided meat mixture between crusts.
  • Top with remaining pastry; trim, seal and flute edges.
  • Cut slits in top.
  • Brush with milk.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

  5. I saw this recipe in Taste of Home and wanted to try it. First I thought I would check Recipezaar and see if anyone had and the ratings it got. When I saw that NurseDi had listed it then I knew it had to be good and it had good ratings. To me this was a "perfect" comfort food. It tasted so good. My husband liked it because it was "Meat and Taters". I would recommend this recipe to anyone.
