  1. Absolutely amazing! I've been looking for a beef burgundy recipe for the crock pot and I think I found "the one." I added 1 cup baby carrots, 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme and doubled the salt.

  2. This is simple to make, but very good! I cut the mushrooms in half so that the picky eater in my house could easily find them and remove. I used up the last few ounces in several bottles of red wine, so it was quite a combination, and I used a bag of frozen pearl onions instead of the sliced onion (lazy me), but otherwise made as directed. I served with herb roasted potatoes, that could easily be stirred into the beef burgundy to absorb the sauce -- and it was a great hit! My elderly mother gets the leftovers and she raved, too.

  3. OUTSTANDING! Everyone raved about it including my children!! We added more mushrooms, onion and wine to ours! Also, we served ours over garlic mashed potato. Recipe is truly a French recipe and a DEFINITE KEEPER!!! BON APETITE!

  4. absolutely awesome. Used a hearty Italian Red for the wine making the beef simply wonderful. I used pearl onions and canned mushrooms (lazy me). This one is definitely a keeper.

  5. Meat turned out very tender and where yummy, but my only dislike was the flavor of the sauce. The sauce was a little strong for my liking, so I just added sour cream to the left overs to cut the flavor and it turned out good. I am not a wine drinker so that might have been the reason, my elderly grandparents loved it though :)
