Flakiest (And Easiest) Pie Crust

"This is the flakiest, simplest pie pastry recipe I've come across. Make several batches at one time and freeze. TIP on pre-baking pie crusts: If your pie shell is to be baked without a filling, you must first prick the dough in the pan with a fork. If desired, place dry beans on top of the crust so that it bakes evenly. Place in a 450 degree oven and bake 10 to 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cool on a rack before filling. (NOTE: If you're using dry beans when baking the crust, remove them after 8 minutes baking and continue baking.)"

 1. I was looking for a simple recipe for a pie crust for an apple pie. This one was on target because not only was it simple, the crust turned our perfect! I'll never buy reaqdy-made again. I added just a little extra water to get the consistecy I wanted, but otherwise...simply GREAT

I recently celebrated my 19th anniversary living in SW Florida. I moved here from Massachusetts, just north of Boston. As much as I miss family back home, I truly love living here - the beaches, the tropical beauty, the people, and the weather (except the hurricanes!). Everyday is just another day in Paradise. I work at the new international airport here in Fort Myers. I have an opportunity to meet many different and interesting people from around the world. I've had an interest in cooking since I was a little boy, following my grandmother around the kitchen. Since I wasn't blessed with any artistic or musical talent, I think cooking was my way of being creative. My passion is my family and friends. My second passion is cooking for them. My favorite way to entertain is informally...brunches, cookouts, and small dinner parties. Just relaxing, enjoying each other's company, some good food and drink, and a little fun are the only rules of the house.
