Finally Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies!

"I found this recipe on a heart healthy recipe site. I made them and they are incredible! I couldn't believe it! They are the lowest fat/cholesterol/sodium chocolate chip cookies I've had that actually taste great! I did change it a bit when I made them by using 1/2 C whole wheat flour and 1/2 C all purpose flour."

  1. These cookies were really yummy straight from the oven: They had a lovely nutty flavour form the whole wheat flour and the oats (I left mine whole) gave them a crumbly texture. Mmmm! I reduced the sugar considerably (to 1/4 cup in total for the whole recipe), which was still sweet enough for me. When cooled somehow my cookies didnt taste all that nice anymore, but maybe that was due to my oats being a little old or whatever. Ill try again with all fresh ingredients and will come back then to review again. THANKS SO VERY MUCH for sharing your recipe with us, alcomene! Made and reviewed for one of my preemies during PAC Fall 09.

  2. This cookie recipe is fantastic. I was amazed at how delicious the chocolate chip cookies tasted. I followed the recipe exactly, including using both wheat & white flours, and the end result was terrific.
