Easy Pan Seared Green Beans

An easy recipe for a great side dish. Goes great with cookouts.

ingredients
- 1 -2 lb green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 dash fresh ground pepper
directions
- Wash and chop ends off of green beans, boil for a good 30 minutes to make them tender.
- Lightly cover a medium pan with olive oil.
- When oil is ready, put beans in and sear them while putting the garlic salt and ground pepper on top.
- Sear until desired taste and texture. (about 5 minutes).

We really enjoyed this simple recipe. Hubby liked them so much he asked me to tell him how I cooked them. He said, "Much better than regular ole' boiled beans." I could not find fresh green beans so used frozen and it is probably the only way I'll ever fix frozen beans again. That said, I will try this when the fresh ones are in the store.
