Easy Oven-Fried Chicken Breasts

I'm too lazy to fry chicken the traditional way. I've experimented with chili powder, Greek seasoning etc. in place of the paprika or poultry seasoning. Try what you like.

- 1⁄4 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons paprika or 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 skin-on bone-in chicken breasts
directions
- Heat oven to 425 degrees.
- Melt Crisco in a 13” x 9” baking pan.
- Combine flour, paprika, salt and pepper in a bag.
- Shake chicken pieces, one at a time, in bag to coat with flour mixture.
- Place chicken skin side down in baking pan.
- Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes.
- Turn chicken.
- Bake 30 minutes longer.

This is so much easier and less messy than pan frying! I love this recipe! I tried it for the first time tonight and it turned out perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The flavor is very delicious! I’ll never go back to the greasy, splattering mess of pan frying! Delicious!! A new favorite!Reply
