  1. This was really yummie. I did mine in the blender as my picky family does not believe sauce should have "chunks" It worked great!!!

  2. I have tried about 6 other bbq sauce recipes and this was hands down the easiest and best tasting. I love the kick and the slight sweetness of the sauce. I ran out of chili powder and used paprika with good results. Great recipe!

  3. This sauce is AMAZING! I added 1 tsp. honey and it was just finger licking good. I marinated pork ribs overnight in this sauce, then whipped up another batch to baste and dip with. Millions of thanks for a great recipe! Susan

  4. I have no words for how great and easy this sauce is.... I chopped onions and tomatos and poured the sauce over pork chops. I added 2 tbsps of sugar as I prefer a slightly sweeter bbq sauce. This was truly lovely and I will definitely be using this again - thank you!

  5. I found this recipe when looking for a quick BBQ sauce for pulled pork sandwiches. Living in the southwest for many years, my sense was that the amount of chili powder in the recipe was too much for a half cup of sauce so used one tablespoon instead of two. The chili powder was still overwhelming as was the mustard powder. My husband, who really likes spicy food, couldn't eat more than a third of his sandwich and I was done after two bites of mine. IF I were to make this again I'd use one teaspoon each of chili powder and dry mustard.

In the words of Tracy Byrd, "I'm from the country & I like it that way"!! On May 1, 2008 my husband and I started a new adventure. We'll be living in a 37 foot RV while our new home is under construction. Its out in the country on a dead end dirt road with lots of trees. For the next 4 months or so, most meals will be cooked on the BBQ and life will be full of challenges! We love spending quality time with our friends & family - especially the grandkids!! The photo is 4 generations - my 84 year old mother, myself, my daughter & my youngest granddaughter - taken at the end of 2006. I've participated in many contests & events here on Zaar but this is the first banner that I've posted. My thanks to Dreamgoddess for hosting the contest & SusieD for the banner design! <img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f249/Dreamgoddess555/Narrow1-1.jpg">
