Drunken Hot Garlic Shrimp and Asparagus for One

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 ounces asparagus
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1⁄4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 6 ounces large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1⁄2 cup dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
directions
- Cut the asparagus on a diagonal into 1-inch pieces and mince the garlic cloves.
- Stir the lime juice into the wine and set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a nonstick frypan over medium heat.
- Add the asparagus, garlic, salt, red pepper flakes and black pepper to the frypan and cook for two minutes stirring occasionally.
- Add the shrimp and cook for three minutes stirring frequently.
- Stir in the wine/juice mixture and bring to a boil.
- Plate and serve immediately with a good crusty bread.
