Doggo Jello

"This is a simple, extremely healthy jello made for dogs. I always like to shout out "DOGGO!" with a hand gesture whenever my dog walks into a room, so that's how I came up with the name. I realized how unhealthy the store-bought canned dog food was (and dog treats) and needed to find healthy recipes instead. So this is a jello that you can use as a nice treat or you can add it to your dogs dry food to make it healthier and yummier. (I use two squares and reduce her food by half.) I know my dog loves it and I hope yours does too! Ingredients can be changed to fit your dog's taste buds. But cheese is very unhealthy for them so please avoid that. Whatever you put in the jello, research it first to see if it's healthy for them."

directions

  • Cut up veggies and meat finely and cook in a small skillet with 1-2 tablespoons ghee or coconut oil for 5-10 minutes (or until lightly brown).
  • Pour boiling water into a large bowl and slowly add gelatin, stirring quickly. Add broth, veggies/meat and almond (peanut) butter to gelatin mixture.
  • Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish and put it in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
  • Once gelatin is firm, cut into cubes and store in the fridge until ready to use.
  • Edit: you can use silicone molds for this recipe too, but make sure that your mixture has cooled at least to the point it doesn't burn your finger. Silicone isn't healthy and can be harmful to your dogs health if heated.
